Formed during the pandemic of 2020 by Grammy-nominated producer Nikhil Suresh, Grihastha is a culmination of Nikhil's musical influence and life experience. Having lived in over 10+ countries and visited quite a few more, the musical influences for this project range from Heavy Metal to Hollywood musicals — from blues to Bollywood and everything in between. Inspired by the energy and aggression of bands such as Metallica, Linkin Park, Machine Head and Slipknot — but also the polished touch of artists such as Ariana Grande, Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears — then the groove of Stevie Wonder and Earth, Wind & Fire, and finally the exoticness of artists such as Lucky Ali, Tarkan, Ligabue and other international artists — Nikhil incorporates something from all these influences into his own music and fuses themes from writers such as Alan Watts, J. Krishnamurti, Swami Vivekananda and others into the lyrics of the songs. This unique fusion is what is presented to the listener as Grihastha.
